Implementing a Lean Enterprise System
A Lean Enterprise System is a system that is intolerant to waste in all its forms by creating a culture that expects daily improvement.
The Lean Enterprise System also known as “Your” Lean Enterprise System is built on a solid flat foundation of persistent daily improvement. There are three equal pillars to support the roof. Notice each pillar is the same height and has the same importance.
The Lean Design System focuses on New Product design & Production process. The "Lean Production System" focuses on identifying and elimination the waste in production. The third pillar "Value Chain Synchronization" addresses the waste in information and material flow throughout the supply chain.
Lean Design System
The Lean Design System creates products and processes to guarantee quality and speed to market. The Lean Design System establishes strategies for finding the most efficient methods to produce a product within Lean Production System principles, with these components:
4P Design — Lean Product Design translates the voice of the customer into product specifications. We use Quality Functional Deployment and simple functional analysis including examples from nature to develop product concepts. Concept development is followed by detail design using design for assembly, manufacturing and Six Sigma.
3P Design — Process Design for Manufacturing and Assembly utilizes managed creativity and simulation techniques to minimize required parts and maximize quality. We promote and manage the breakthrough ideas by leading teams through a systematic approach, including “Moonshining” (promoting illegal ideas) followed by trials and simulation.
Lean Production System
A Lean Production System is intolerant to waste by identifying/eliminating waste and implementing measures to prevent recurrence across the entire production process.
The Lean Production System is built on a solid flat foundation and has two equal pillars to support the roof. Notice each pillar is the same height and has the same importance.
Just in Time (JIT) highlights & eliminates the 7 wastes.
Jidoka prevents recurrence.
Notice: Without preventing recurrence, “JIT” could become painful.
Value Chain Synchronization
Value Chain Synchronization defines our approach to integrating and linking all elements to create an elegant Lean Enterprise System.
By utilizing breakthrough workshops and consulting, our clients learn to synchronize material replenishment and information flow systems to realize financial gains. We establish Policy Deployment initiatives to tie your entire business's strategic plans to shop floor daily activities.
The Lean Office pillar represents the efforts to eliminate the waste in information flow from order entry to accounts receivable, including attacking traditional accounting principles. The Supplier Development pillar represents the Lean transformation of Material suppliers, including Distribution. The whole rests on the foundation of business planning and control tools, representing information flow on customer orders, connecting all segments of the value chain.
